What a Business page QR code is for

  • On the shop door

Whoever arrives after hours sees the full opening times and the phone number, instead of a handwritten sign crossed out three times.

  • Businesses without a website

Plenty of garages, hairdressers and corner shops have no website and do not need one. This card covers the basics and takes a minute to edit.

  • Vans and site boards

A work-site sign has no room for opening hours or a service list. The code fits, and everything else sits behind it.

  • Hours that change

Holidays, bank holidays, season change: fix the hours on the card and the sign on the door stays untouched.

Edit the card whenever something changes

The data lives on a page you control. Changing the August hours or the new phone number means editing a field, not reprinting the sign.

Scans are counted, so you see whether people use the code on the door or whether it is worth adding one inside too.

Business page QR code questions

Will this rank my business on Google?

This card is for people already standing at your door or behind your van. To appear in search and on the map you need a Google Business Profile, which is a different thing.

Can I list several locations?

Better one code per location, each with its address and hours. That also shows you which one gets scanned most.

What if I move to a new address?

Edit the address on the card. The codes already printed keep working as they are.

These questions do not depend on the code type, and they are worth reading before sending anything to print: what size to print a QR code at , why a heavily customised code stops scanning and what gets recorded when a dynamic code is scanned .
